This entry follows the entry of the Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men where the retreat had been canceled
I’ve just returned from the MKFacilitations Summer Retreat and had what I can only describe as an amazing time.
The formal retreat this year was canceled as many of the registered participants could not make it and so it was modified to a different kind of retreat. I spent much of my time in private meditation. Part of my time was spent in a tee-pee with another warrior and where we were asking questions and finding answers and more question around our paths.
The Location of this retreat was at Quantum Leaps Lodge (just outside of Golden, BC). The have an amazing facility and recommend it to any one looking for a quiet get away from the noise of the world. While I was there I spent two nights in one of the cabins (very cozy) and two nights in a tee-pee. While some may perceive the tee-pee as ‘roughing it’ it is actually quite civil. There is a kitchen with all your cooking needs met, and a shower with hot running water. The tee-pee has a fire pit in it so you can have a fire as you sleep and the beds are very comfortable and warm.
The work Allan and I did around our Warrior Paths will give an excellent basis going forward for this blog and podcast. Please visit often as I will be using my learning from this time going forward.
As for the MKFacilitations Summer retreat 2008. I’m planning to attend and preparing for this now. If this at all even interests you I recommend contacting MKFacilitations as they offer other products, including Half Day Sessions and Weekend Workshops. Attending one of these smaller events will almost certainly convince you that a week long retreat of this type of development can only be that much better.
